“I wouldn’t be surprised,” wrote teainjuly on reddit. “Women have been explanting at astonishing rates lately and the medical community is finally starting to recognize BII as an actual affliction.”
BII, or Breast Implant Illness, is a term that refers to a host of symptoms that women with breast implants report, according to Surgery.org. These symptoms include “fatigue, chest pain, hair loss, headaches, chills, photosensitivity, chronic pain, rash, body odor, anxiety, brain fog, sleep disturbance, depression, neurologic issues and hormonal issues that they feel are directly connected to their saline or silicone, textured or smooth breast implants.”
According to the site, social media plays a part in higher reported numbers of the affliction.
“The recent increase in patients reporting Breast Implant Illness (BII) symptoms appears to be related to social media,” the site reads. “There is one Facebook group alone with more than 50,000 members, all of whom report Breast Implant Illness (BII) symptoms. This is not to say that social media is the cause of Breast Implant Illness (BII) however, it may account for the rapid increases in patient reporting.” However, the site also notes that “BII is not an official medical diagnosis.”
As for us fans, we may not be able to get much more intel from Maci herself on Teen Mom, since she’s been teasing a new show!
As you might remember, Maci Bookout has been pretty displeased over how her storyline has been shown on Teen Mom OG in the past. The reality TV star took to twitter to share her frustrations a few months ago, when she wrote, “It’d be amazing if the chaotic, cute, real life, family/marriage stuff we film made it on the show,”

“Do I feel like my story is accurately portrayed on the show? Absolutely NOT.”
She continued, hinting at exactly what she wanted to producers to STOP focusing on.
“Do I wish they’d stop making something/someone my entire story on the show? Absolutely YES! #TEENMOMOG,” tweeted the mother of three.
That someone, of course, was probably ex Ryan Edwards.
