Different Struggles, Different Standards

User TattooedDisneyMama pointed out that some of the girls might be going by different standards based on their past difficulties. They wrote, “I think some of the girls moved fast (Jenelle) and some are just in a better place in their life where they know what they want (Maci and Chelsea). I also think sometimes we hold the girls to a different standard since we have watched them struggle, date different partners, and we’ve watched it all on a delay.”

So what about those who haven’t been in long relationships? User twelvedayslate weighed in on a pattern that they saw with many of the moms: “Jenelle moves fast because she thinks she needs a man. I’d argue both Kail and Amber do the same in their relationships. When you move fast because you think you need someone, you miss red flags. You set yourself up for potential disaster (as all three have).”

User bird223 pointed out how quick Jenelle can move. They wrote, “I think it’s all relative. Maybe Chelsea and Cole moved fast? (I don’t really think so though). But at the same time, Chelsea did not have a pattern of this and obviously was waiting for the right person to date. Whereas Jenelle moves in and has a baby with every single partner lol.”
