“You’re a great mother. You’re a great wife. We’re gonna be praying for you every day,” Tyler’s mom told Catelynn on the way to rehab. “I’m really, really happy that you’re going get help, seriously. You got this.”
Though Catelynn received criticism for her decision to go to Arizona for help, she remained steadfast in her decision. “I wasn’t “running away” from my problems I was FIXING them! Working HARD & getting on the right medication,” she tweeted. “I wouldn’t wish this crap on my worst enemy! But I guess I’ll have haters no matter what! Just glad I got myself better and if ppl r mad then be mad I guess”
Unfortunately, her first visit to rehab was not her last. Catelynn shared in January, “I’m going back to treatment people for 6 weeks to work on my trauma and getting on different meds.”

Catelynn has shared what a positive effect she thinks medication has had, tweeting, “When someone tells you that ‘you need to get off of meds’ PLEASE! SNRI’s saved my life!”
On the podcast, Voices for Change 2.0 , she divulged that she has been diagnosed with panic disorder, PTSD, and depression. Catelynn also shared that her time in in-patient rehab has had a far greater success than traditional therapy.
Catelynn has been very open about her experience with rehab. On the podcast, she revealed that she would be filming a special on mental health for MTV. The couple has also appeared on The Dr. Oz Show . She called it “one of the best things we have ever done!” She emphasized, “We need to keep educating to end the stigma!”
Catelynn has previously lashed out at haters on Twitter.
