After the most recent episode of Teen Mom aired, many became concerned that Jenelle was neglecting Jace’s needs.
In the clip, Jenelle brings Jace to drop him off with his grandmother and primary caregiver Barbara. Jenelle hands Barbara a pill bottle, and Barbara asks, “So you have the other pills?”
“No,” Jenelle says. “I didn’t bring the other bottle.” Barbara asks, “How come he’s got pills left?”
Jenelle reveals that she consciously chose not to give Jace his medication for two days. “I didn’t give them to him for like two days.” Barbara exclaims, “Why not?” seeming concerned.
“Because he was fine,” Jenelle says. “He was fine!”
“I know, Jenelle, but it throws it off,” Barbara points out.

“He was fine,” Jenelle says. “So don’t worry about it.”
Although the moment quickly passes on the show, fans found the implications to be much more serious than Jenelle believes. Depending on what medication Jace is on (likely for his diagnosis of ADHD that has been revealed on the show), taking a daily dose on a regular basis could be important to his health and mental wellbeing.
User Dexterig recalled, “Well I remember [Jenelle] saying in a season finale when barb said he had adhd and was going on medication and she said she didnt want him on medication because he could start selling it.” They pointed out, “I think at that point he was 5-7 or something.”
